Tracey Smith, owner of Beanstalk Honey, is offering a beginner beekeeping workshop in Sherwood Park on March 23 and 24th at the Strathcona Community Centre. Since I stopped selling honey in November of 2021, I’ve been researching honey bees at the University of Alberta. I’ve been studying the effect of dehydration on honey bee physiology, specifically whether honey bee queens are getting dehydrated during long distance shipping (more to come on this subject soon).

At the U of A, I am also developing my formal teaching experience. Registrants in my upcoming workshop will find my workshops are taught in a university-level continuing education style.
